Ask yourself the question:

  1. I do not think rates rises of over 110% in the next five years are justified. HCC needs to get control over its salary costs, consultancy and other costs and keep rates at or below inflation. or

  2. I think rates rises of 19.9% in the first year, followed by 15.5% rates rises are justified, HCC is doing a good job on spending ratepayers money…

Costs over settling Code Of Conduct complaints are also exorbitant. Council needs to bring their legal team under control to reduce costs, thereby reduce rate increases.
